Welcome to Gardner Mountain/Y Area
The Gardner Mountain neighborhood is located by the highway 50 and highway 89 intersection, also known as the “Y”. It is also located next to South Tahoe High School (Go Vikings!!) and the Raley’s shopping center. This South Lake Tahoe neighborhood offers quick and easy access to tons of picturesque mountain views. Gardner Mountain is also home to multiple trails for hiking and biking opportunities, many of which are right out the door! Gardner Mountain is a popular location due to its close proximity to many of South Lake Tahoe’s top beaches such as: Camp Richardson, Valhalla, Pope Beach, Baldwin Beach, and Kiva Beach (one of the few dog friendly beaches). Many Gardner Mountain properties are backed by National Forest Service lands which offer miles of walking, hiking, and biking trails right from home. There are also dedicated bike trails just across highway 89 that meander through the forest leading to the various beaches.
Even with all that the Gardner Mountain neighborhood has to offer, it still remains one of South Lake Tahoe’s more affordable communities. Homes styles will vary from small historic cabins to newer homes with many backing to miles of National Forest and trails.
